Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing

  • Sacred Waters 225 Water Street Jordan, MN, 55352 United States (map)

Using the support of bolsters, blankets, and blocks we will set our intentions to restore and support ourselves. Enjoy sound in ancient forms such as Himalayan singing bowls, a wave drum, Koshi chimes, steel drum and a powerful Gong...all to enhance your experience in each of your poses.
Restorative yoga uses long-held, supported resting poses to create the conditions for us to cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation and most importantly to release unnecessary habitual tension in the body and mind.
The Chopra Center shares~The slower pace and deep breathing that you get in a restorative yoga class triggers the parasympathetic nervous system from the very first pose. This activation helps to mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight stress response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. The overall calming effect on the nervous system sets a deeply relaxing tone for the class that comforts your mind and body down to the cellular level.
April 3rd. 10-12pm Cost $35 preregistration required, space limited...Mats are 6 ft apart and masks are required to enter, leave, and when moving around the building. Participants are asked to bring 2 blankets, 2 small pillows if you have them and 2 pillow cases. Payments is non-refundable.
