Individual Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy can help support many areas. This is just a few examples: arthritis—both Rheumatoid and Osteo, digestive disorders, stress, children’s issues, female changes from menstruation to pregnancy to menopause to post menopause. Yoga Therapy is much more than asana. Although Asana is a piece of it, we will also explore other tools we all have.
One tool that can be explored is Mudra. This word itself means gesture or seal. Gesture is a form of communication. This is key—communication within your body. Mudra help us to get in touch with ourselves. In yogic tradition it looks at the physical body but also the subtle body. It is believed that the subtle body has its own nervous system or channels conveying Prana. Mudras help in clearing some of these channels of impurities of psychic and emotional origin.
